Ordinary Muslim Views

I guess the first question is who am I and what’s this bog all about.

A little about myself. I am an American immigrated from Pakistan quote some time ago. Living and working in Boston. I am a Software Engineer by Profession.

What is this blog all about. I guess telling you the truth I really am not sure. May be because blogs are a good way of expressing your views and they are really in these days:-).

I am from a Muslim family, a very liberal and Moderate. Who I guess are not even considered Muslim by the hardline followers.

We hear the word  Muslim or Islam so many time in a day and in so many wiered and scary stories these days that I think soon parents will be telling their kids to go to bed or a Muslim will come. LOL -:).

I think sometime I am ashamed or afraid of telling people that I am a Muslim.

Telling you the secret, I am even afraid of writing these blogs right now…never know a Fatwa is on its way hahahah…I have to be really careful of my words here.

These are just my feelings and my views that comes into my mind..I am just trying to capture my brain into these blogs. No offense.

Fatwa…a very interesting term. What it really is. First time I heard the word, I was very young, probably a sixth grader. I remember it hearing in a news about Salman Rushdie.

I still remember how I always think about the Fatwa given for Salman Rushdie. I mean do we need a Fatwa, if our beliefs are genuine then he would be punish by God itself. Why should we even think about it. What he did was bad, I mean No matter what you follow, you are a Muslim, Jew, Christian, Hindu or any other religion or belief, No one has a right to say anything about your religion.

I mean I am not a religious person at all but I take it this way, When you love with someone, you can’t hear a bad thing about the person. And religion is no different other than its every thing for some. And its playing with them.
